Welcome to
the home of Tollesbury Amateur Players (TAP).
TAP is an amateur dramatics group based in Tollesbury near Colchester, Essex,
in England.
Founded in 2004 TAP produces 3 or 4 performances per year and specialises in
light entertainment, pantomimes and self written productions.
Successful plays include the Inspector Pratt 'Murdered' series, pantomimes by
Jim Sperinck such as Panto at the OK Corral and the Pompeii Panto, themed
Cabarets with dinner and several heritage productions reminiscing local
history.
The ‘Stars’
cabaret was another great success in every respect!
Apart from
a TAP-assisted concert in the Centre in November our next production will be
at the end of January 2010 - a Panto – Dick Whittington – directed by Nicki
Hatton
"Its panto time again, oh
yes it is....
All the fun and action you expect from a pantomime is here in this version of
the traditional and well loved tale of 'Dick Whittington'. Get ready to boo
and hiss at King Rat as he hypnotises Idle Jack to help him disgrace Dick Whittington. Cheer Fairy Rosebud as
she comes to the rescue to help Dick Whittington fulfill his destiny to
become Lord Mayor of London and marry his
beloved Alice.
The adventures travel from London to Morocco via
the 'Saucy Sal', meeting the usual motley crew of characters
and creatures along the way.
Look out
for additional publicity nearer the time.
